history
Vilas Rigici was first mentioned in 1186 as a property of the Order of St. John . It is not certain whether the village belonged to the forest areas around Mount Chwogen , Povrly and Roztoky, which Vladislav II gave to the Order for colonization in 1169, or to the lands that Měšek and Hroznata of Peruc donated to the Knights of St. John in 1179. After the construction of the Blankenstein Castle , Ryjice belonged to their estate from 1400 onwards. Ryjice was originally a Slavic Rundling , which was located on the site of today's sanatorium. After the Thirty Years War, the valley was intensively settled and over time an elongated place was created, which was divided into a front, middle and rear village. The mill in Hinter Reindlitz was one of the oldest buildings. In 1770, after extensive rainfall, landslides occurred. Subsequently, the Reindlitzer Bach was regulated. A massive weir, nine meters thick and 15 meters high and 15 meters long, was built in the village to contain the raging effect of the stream.
After the abolition of patrimonial Reindlitz / Ryjice formed from 1850 a district of the political municipality Mörkau / Mirkov in the judicial district of Außenig or district of Außenig . The Reindlitz community was established in 1880. The location in the valley, traversed by humid northwest air currents, led to the construction of three sanatoriums from the end of the 19th century. In 1895, a workers' convalescent home for lung patients was built and in 1902 Helene Petschek, the wife of the industrialist Ignaz Petschek , founded the Helenenheim. The third home was built in 1906 by the Revierbruderlade Brüx .
In 1921 the village consisted of 60 houses and had 259 inhabitants. In 1930 Reindlitz had 399 inhabitants, including a strong Czech minority. In 1930 an artesian well was built, which from a depth of 43 m delivers a warm water of about 12 ° C fed by warm tributaries. After the Munich Agreement , Reindlitz was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Aussig district until 1945 . In 1939 the community had 254 inhabitants. In 1945 Ryjice returned to Czechoslovakia and the German residents were expelled . In 1948 the community was assigned to the Okres Ústí nad Labem-okolí and since 1961 it has belonged again to the Okres Ústí nad Labem . In 1980 Ryjice was incorporated into Neštěmice and between 1986 and 1990 it was a district of Ústí nad Labem . Ryjice commune has existed again since September 1st, 1990.
