Manjur [Manžur] ( Chinese 滿洲裡 市 / 满洲里 市 , Pinyin Mǎnzhōulǐ shì ; Mongolian ᠮᠠᠨᠵᠤᠤᠷ ᠬᠣᠲᠠ Manjuur qota ) is a county-level city, the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Hulun Buir Autonomous Region Inner Mongolia of the People's Republic of China belongs. Manjur has an area of 696 km² and approx. 300,000 inhabitants (end of 2010).
As a border town to Russia and through various trading houses, the city is the traffic, communication and trade center of Hulun Buir. For the continental foreign trade with Russia, Manjur is important for the whole of Northeast China.

traffic
The city has a train station on the Chinese Eastern Railway . Here the gauge changes from Russian broad gauge to standard gauge . The city is connected to the European rail network via the Trans-Siberian Railway , making it a transition station for European freight trains to China and passenger trains from Moscow to Beijing.
In addition to the railway line, the city has a border crossing for motor vehicles and pedestrians.
