Martin Zauner

Martin Georg Zauner (* 1962 in Wels ) is an Austrian actor and director .

Life

Martin Zauner completed his acting training at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz . This was followed by engagements at the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck , the Münchner Volkstheater and the Neue Residenztheater in Munich . Since 1991 he has been a member of the ensemble at the Theater in der Josefstadt .

There he played Yvan in Yasmina Reza's art , Valère in Molière's comedy The Miser and the ' Tiger' Brown in Bertolt Brecht's The Threepenny Opera . In 2005 he staged the play A Bank in the Sun by Ron Clark with Otto Schenk at the Wiener Kammerspiele .

Martin Zauner also worked in numerous film and television productions . These included the feature films Boomerang-Boomerang by Hans W. Geißendörfer with Katja Studt , Jürgen Vogel and Lambert Hamel and Herr Ober! by and with Gerhard Polt and Christiane Hörbiger , Robert Meyer and Ulrike Kriener . He appeared as an actor in many television series such as Kommissar Rex , Café Meineid , SOKO Kitzbühel , SOKO Donau / Vienna and Der Winzerkönig . He was also seen in the TV films of ORF The Millennium Murderer , Wages of Work and Defenseless from the TV series Tatort . Since 2013 he has played the continuous role of chief inspector Wilmer Eberts in the television series CopStories .
