Max Faller

Max Faller (born July 7, 1927 in Neuburg an der Donau , † August 4, 2012 in Munich ) was a German sculptor of contemporary Christian art .

life and work

Faller studied at the art academy in Munich from 1947 to 1954 . He was a master student of the Munich sculptor Josef Henselmann and received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . Travels took the artist through numerous countries in Europe, Israel and Jordan. He lived in Munich.

Max Faller dealt exclusively with religious topics. In addition to the sculptural work, which includes fountains, columns and bronze doors, he designed the interiors of churches and chapels and altar areas including church furniture, numerous objects for the decoration of sacred buildings, jewelry for high dignitaries of the Roman Catholic Church and medals.
