The diverse media landscape of the Rhine-Neckar Triangle is only partially designed to cross borders. Due to the country's responsibility in the area of the media, there are still limits here that contradict economic and cultural cohesion, but they are increasingly disappearing.

The Southwest Broadcasting (SWR) is the public service broadcaster for Baden-Wuerttemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. With the programs SWR1 Baden-Württemberg , SWR1 Rhineland-Palatinate , SWR2 , SWR3 , SWR4 Baden-Württemberg , SWR4 Rhineland-Palatinate , DASDING and SWR Aktuell , it covers almost the entire region.
Hessischer Rundfunk hr
Hessischer Rundfunk (hr) is responsible for the Bergstrasse district in southern Hesse with the programs hr1 , hr2 , hr3 , hr4 , hr-info and You FM .

- The American Forces Network of the US armed forces had its European headquarters in the Coleman Barracks , Mannheim-Sandhofen , from 2004 to 2012 . The local AFN Heidelberg program for Heidelberg, Mannheim and Stuttgart was produced from 1993 to 2009 for the move to the AFN European headquarters in Mannheim-Seckenheim . The European headquarters has been located in the Sembach barracks (near Kaiserslautern ) since 2014 . The Heidelberg-Wieblingen transmitter was switched off in 2014.
