Mela is a commune in the French department of Corse-du-Sud on the Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the Corse-du-Sud department, the Sartène arrondissement and the Sartenais-Valinco canton . Neighboring communities are Altagène in the north, Levie in the east, Sainte-Lucie-de-Tallano in the south, Olmiccia in the southwest and Fozzano and Loreto-di-Tallano in the west. The village center is 663 meters above sea level. The residents call themselves Mélais .
