The Milwaukee Metropolitan Area (also known as Metro Milwaukee or Greater Milwaukee ) is a metropolitan area in southeastern Wisconsin . The center and core city is Milwaukee and its immediate urban area ( agglomeration ). The metropolitan area includes five counties: Milwaukee County , Ozaukee County , Racine County , Washington County, and Waukesha County .
