The Saarland Ministry of Education and Culture is one of seven ministries of the Saarland . The ministry has been headed by Minister of Education Christine Streichert-Clivot ( SPD ) since September 18, 2019 , and State Secretary is Jan Benedyczuk .

history

There were no ministries in the Saarland administrative commission, which was in office from 1946 to 1947 . Emil Straus was the director of education . In 1947 the Ministry of Education was founded as the Ministry of Education, Schools and Public Education .

To date, the ministry has changed responsibilities several times and exchanged departments with almost all other ministries as well as the State Chancellery . It has had the following names since 1947:
