Christine Streichert-Clivot

Christine Streichert-Clivot (* 28. April 1980 in Saarbrücken ) is a German politician of the SPD and since September 2019 Saarland Minister for Education and Culture Cabinet Hans .

Life

After attending the comprehensive school of the Saarpfalz district in Gersheim , Streichert-Clivot switched to the Willi-Graf-Gymnasium in Saarbrücken in 1996 , where she passed her Abitur in 1999. From 1999 to 2006 she studied political science, sociology and economics at the University of Trier . In 2006 she was project manager at DGB Saar and in 2006/07 she was managing director of the Netzwerk für Demokratie und Courage Saar. From 2006 to 2009 she was an employee of the SPD Saar . From 2008 to 2011, she studied adult education at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern .

From 2009 to 2019 Streichert-Clivot was parliamentary group leader of the SPD municipal council in Gersheim. In 2010 she became a scientific advisor to the SPD parliamentary group in Saar. In 2012 she became Head of the Ministerial Office in the Ministry of Education and Culture. In 2014 she became the head of the department “Educational Policy Fundamental and Cross-Sectional Matters”. After the state elections in Saarland , she became State Secretary in the Saarland Ministry of Education in May 2017.

Christine Streichert-Clivot has been Minister of Education and Culture of the Saarland in the cabinet of Prime Minister Tobias Hans since September 18, 2019 .

She is married and has two kids.
