Mischkino ( Russian Ми́шкино ) is an urban-type settlement in the Kurgan Oblast in Russia with 8034 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The place is about 90 km as the crow flies west of the Kurgan Oblast Administrative Center in the southwestern part of the West Siberian lowlands around several smaller, drainless lakes.

Mixed cinema is the administrative center of the Rajons mixed Kinski and seat of the municipality (gorodskoje posselenije) Rabotchi possjolok mixing cinema, (5 km northwest) are among the also the village Taktaschi (10 km northwest) and the settlement Iwankowskoje.

history

The place, which was founded in 1798, grew considerably as the Trans-Siberian Railway passed by and a station was built from 1892/1893. On October 27, 1923, Mischkino became the administrative seat of a Rajon named after him. It has had urban-type settlement status since 1944.

Mischkino is located on the original route and today's southern route of the Trans-Siberian Railway Samara  - Chelyabinsk  - Omsk (route km 2268 from Moscow ), which was opened on this section in 1896 and has been electrified since 1957 . To the north, the settlement is bypassed by the federal trunk road R254 Irtysh (formerly M51), which connects Chelyabinsk with Novosibirsk , is part of the transcontinental road link and on this section is also part of European route 30 .
