Mokroussowo ( Russian Мокроу́сово ) is a village (selo) in the Kurgan Oblast in Russia with 4849 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 100 km as the crow flies east-northeast of the Kurgan Oblast Administrative Center in the West Siberian lowlands . It is located on the Kisak, a left tributary of the right Tobol tributary Jemurtla .
Mokroussowo is the administrative center Rajons Mokroussowski and seat of the rural community selsowet (selskoje posselenije) Mokroussowski, which also includes the villages Kukarskaja (north then) Porogi (2 km south) and (8 kilometers east) include Tschesnokowo.
history
The village was founded around the middle of the 18th century, according to tradition, by the suspended soldier Ivan Mokroussow, who previously served in the forpost Malo-Kysazki (near today's village of Krepost , literally " fortress ", 4 km north of Mokroussowo). This was one of the 1730s built " Ishim line" along the former border of the Russian Empire to the Central Asian steppes. In 1890 Mokroussowo, which had gained some importance as a regional trading center due to annual fairs, became the seat of a Volost of the then Ujezds Yalutorowsk of the Tobolsk governorate . Since November 1923 it has been the administrative seat of a Rajon named after him.

Mokroussowo is located on the regional road 37K-0010 from Lebjaschje to the border of the Tyumen Oblast , from there to Zavodoukowsk . The nearest train station is located 60 km south of Lebjaschje on the southern route of the Trans-Siberian Railway Samara - Chelyabinsk - Omsk ; The federal trunk road R254 Irtysh (formerly M51) Chelyabinsk - Omsk - Novosibirsk is crossed 15 km north of Lebjaschje . In Zavodoukowsk there is a station on the main line of the Trans-Siberian Railway 80 km north; there is a connection to the R402 Tyumen - Omsk. A regional road (initially 37N-1312) leads from Mokroussowo to the west to the Belozerskoye district center, 75 km away, on the branch route of the R254 from Kurgan to Tyumen.
