history
The place in its present form developed after the Yekaterinburg - Kurgan railway line passed by the older settlement Kossobrodsk in 1934 and a station named after the settlement was opened there. On May 22nd, 1944, the station settlement and the settlement were combined at a woodworking company that had meanwhile been set up and raised to the status of an urban-type settlement. At the same time, the place got its current name, Russian for Red October, which stands for the October Revolution of 1917.
First, the Krasny Oktyabr belonged to the rayon Jurgamyschski km based in nearly 40 southwest to Jurgamysch . On November 24, 1955, the settlement was handed over to the Tschaschinski rajon, based in the village of Tschaschi , a good 25 km north . Since its dissolution on February 1, 1963, the place has belonged to the Kargapolski rajon.
