Morsbach is a place in the Lower Inn Valley in Tyrol . The place is a district , locality and cadastral municipality of the municipality of Kufstein , parts are localities of the municipality of Langkampfen , both in the Kufstein district .

geography

The village of Morsbach is located at 506  m above sea level. A. west of the city ​​center of Kufstein , on the other bank of the Inn , outside of Zell and the Inntal Autobahn . The place is on the Inn level, at the foot of the Maistaller Berg , where you drive to the Marblinger Höhe , which leads to Thiersee .

It was incorporated into the city of Kufstein. The area around the village belongs to the locality of Morsbach in the municipality of Kufstein, and the area is one kilometer south to the Kufstein Süd junction .

The Morsbach cadastral community of the city of Kufstein also includes parts of the Zell district with the Zeller Berg , Kleinholz and the Kleinholz monastery (Maria Hilf) , and the village of Hippichl , which belongs to the village of Thierberg , as well as the adjacent forests on the Maistaller Berg.

Some parts of the village are located to the south-west of it in what is now the municipality of Langkampfen, and are also managed as a village. These are the hamlets of Maistall , Pulverturm , Rochenbach and the Rotte Stimmersee with the lake of the same name. This area extends almost to the Kufstein-Langkampfen airfield .

Despite its proximity to Kufstein, Morsbach has retained its village character.

Morsbach was incorporated in 1956 and the also incorporated places Zellerberg and Kleinholz were added to the local area. Due to its political independence, the village has its own mayor , currently (2011) Josef Wagner.
