Motor City Open 2009

The 2009 Motor City Open was held from January 30th to February 2nd, 2009 in Detroit , Michigan , United States . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2008/09 and was endowed with $ 30,000.

Defending champion was Olli Tuominen , who reached the semi-finals this year. In the final, Borja Golán prevailed against Adrian Grant with 10:12, 11: 9, 11: 5 and 14:12.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Julian Wellings a spot in the main draw.
