Suburban Collection Motor City Open 2017

The 2017 Suburban Collection Motor City Open took place January 27-30, 2017 at the Birmingham Athletic Club in Bloomfield Hills , Michigan , United States . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2016/17 and belonged to the PSA 70 category .

Last year's winner was Ali Farag , who again reached the final. There he was defeated by Ryan Cuskelly , who won the final with 4:11, 11: 5, 11: 5 and 11: 9.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. The best eight players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 70,000.
