Murcia is a municipality in the Province of Negros Occidental on the island of Negros in the Philippines . It has 81,286 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who live in 23 barangays . It belongs to the first income bracket of the communities in the Philippines and is described as partially urbanized .

It is located approx. 17 km west of Bacolod City . Travel time is around 20 minutes by bus, jeepney or by car. Its neighboring communities are Talisay City , Silay City in the north, San Carlos City , Don Salvador Benedicto in the east, Bago City in the south and the community borders on Bacolod City in the west. The topography of the municipality is described as hilly to mountainous.

The Mambukal Resort is located in the community area and is known for its sulfur springs that are used for therapeutic purposes . There are also some waterfalls in the area of ​​the resort, it is considered the main tourist attraction.
