NFA Cup 2011

The NFA Cup 2013 of the Namibian club soccer teams took place from February to June 2013. The Namibian Cup competition is organized by the Namibia Football Association and sponsored for the first time by Bidvest Namibia under the name Bidvest Namibia Cup .

Prize money of N $ 500,000 for the cup winner, N $ 300,000 for the runner-up and N $ 100,000 each for the two losers in the semi-finals were distributed. In addition, a player is rewarded as "Best Player" with N $ 1000 per game; an additional N $ 1000 will be paid by Bidvest Namibia to a charity of the player's choice.

Game mode

The final round of the cup will be played in tournament mode on a few weekends in central stadiums. There are 32 teams in the knockout system in the final round . Before that, the participating clubs in the second division (probably in Windhoek and Otjiwarongo ) and third divisions (each in the regions) must qualify in elimination tournaments.

Participating teams

The twelve teams of the Namibia Premier League 2012/13 and the two relegated teams from the 2011/2012 season are automatically qualified for the finals.

There are also three teams from the “Northern Stream” and two from the “Southern Stream” of the Namibia First Division (2nd division) as well as one team each from the 13 regional 3rd leagues ( Second Division ).

In the first round, qualifying games were held to determine the respective regional champion. These playoffs took place on January 26th and 27th, 2013.

2nd round

The first round matches took place on February 9 and 10, 2013.
