NGC 2482 is an open star cluster in the constellation Puppis and has an angular extent of 10.0 'and an apparent magnitude of 7.3 mag. It was discovered by William Herschel on November 20, 1784 and is also known as the OCL 653 and ESO 494-SC3 .
