NGC 2468 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Lynx in the northern sky . It is an estimated 398 million light years from the Milky Way and about 155,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2462 , NGC 2463 , NGC 2469 , NGC 2472 .
The object was discovered on January 1, 1865 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
