NGC 2457 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Lynx at the northern sky . It is an estimated 326 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter. It probably forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair with NGC 2456 .
The object was discovered by Ralph Copeland on March 10, 1874 .
