NGC 2463 is an elliptical galaxy with extended star formation from the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Lynx the northern sky . It is estimated to be 373 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2458 , NGC 2462 , NGC 2469 , NGC 2471 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on February 10, 1831 .
