NGC 2470 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Canis Minor south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 175 million light years from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on October 24, 1886 .
