NGC 7241 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 73 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter. Together with PGC 68420 , it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair .

The object was on 3 September 1872 by the astronomer Édouard Stephan using a 80-cm - telescope discovered.
