NGC 7219 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Toucan in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 128 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years across. Together with NGC 7192 , NGC 7179 , NGC 7191 and PGC 68473 , it forms the small NGC 7192 group ( LGG 452 ).
The object was discovered by John Herschel on June 22, 1835 .
