NGC 7221 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble-type SBbc in the constellation Southern Pisces. It is estimated to be 196 million light years from the Milky Way and about 115,000 light years in diameter. Together with NGC 7229 and PGC 68360 , it forms the small NGC 7221 group ( LGG 454 ).
The object was discovered by John Herschel on September 27, 1834 .
