NGC 7220 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 240 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1435 and IC 5178 .
The property was discovered by Frank Muller in 1886 .
