NGC 7204 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Piscis Austrinus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 117 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter. Together with PGC 68054 ( NGC 7204A ) and LEDA 2801173 ( NGC 7204B ) it forms a closely interacting galaxy trio .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7201 and NGC 7203 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on September 27, 1834 .
