NGC 7184 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 121 million light years from the Milky Way .
The supernova SN 1984N (Type I) was observed in the galaxy .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on October 28, 1783 .
