NGC 7167 is a barred spiral galaxy with extensive star formation from Hubble type SBc in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 118 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years across .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on July 29, 1834 .
