NGC 7188 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Aquarius that is estimated to be 82 million light years from the Milky Way .
The galaxy was discovered on October 9, 1885 by the astronomer Francis Leavenworth with a 26-inch telescope and was later included in his New General Catalog by Johan Dreyer .
