NGC 7168 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E3 in the constellation of Indians on the southern sky . It is estimated to be 121 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 70,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy IC 5152 .
The object was discovered on July 8, 1834 by John Herschel .
