NGC 7187 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Piscis Austrinus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 121 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years across.
The galaxies NGC 7172 , NGC 7173 , NGC 7174 , NGC 7176 are located in the same area of the sky .
The property was discovered by Francis Preserved Leavenworth in 1886 .
