NGC 7191 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Indians in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 127 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light-years across. Together with NGC 7192 , NGC 7179 , NGC 7219 and PGC 68473 , it forms the small NGC 7192 group ( LGG 452 ).
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7179 , NGC 7192 , NGC 7199 , IC 5165 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on June 22, 1835 .
