Nagornoje ( Russian Нагорное , German Perkappen ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg area (Prussia) ) and belongs to the Domnowskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Domnowo (Domnau) ) in Pravdinsk district ( Friedland district (Ostpr.) ).

Geographical location

Nagornoje is two kilometers northwest of Domnowo (Domnau) on a side road that leads directly into the village via Rasdolnoje (Warnigkeim) . Until 1945 Domnau was the next train station on the railway line from Königsberg (now Russian: Kaliningrad) to Angerburg (now Polish: Węgorzewo), but it is no longer in operation.

history

The rural community, formerly known as Perkappen , belonged in 1874 to the nine municipalities (manor districts and rural communities) that formed the newly established administrative district of Schloss Domnau (from 1930 administrative district Groß Klitten , Russian: Tscherjomuchowo). Until 1927 it belonged to the Friedland district, renamed the Bartenstein district (East Prussia) , in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910, ten inhabitants were counted in Perkappen. On April 1, 1929, the rural community lost its independence and was incorporated into the municipality of Domnau (Domnowo).

As a result of the Second World War , northern East Prussia and with it Perkappen came to the Soviet Union . Perkappen was renamed “Nagornoje” in 1947 and was in the Domnowski soviet (Dorfsovjet Domnowo (Domnau) ) until 2009 . Since then, due to structural and administrative reform, the place has been classified as a "settlement" (Russian: possjolok) within the Domnowskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Domnowo) in Pravdinsk district .

church

Before 1945, predominantly a population of Protestant denomination lived in Perkappen . The village was in the parish of Domnau (Russian: Domnowo) and belonged to the church district Friedland (today Russian: Prawdinsk), then to the church district Bartenstein (today Polish: Bartoszyce) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Even today there is a church connection from Nagornoje to Domnowo, to whose catchment area the place is today. Domnowo is a branch of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
