Privolnoje ( Russian Привольное , German Saussienen ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg area (Prussia) ) and belongs to the Domnowskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Domnowo (Domnau) ) in Pravdinsk district ( Friedland district (Ostpr.) ).
Geographical location
Privolnoye located southwest of the Rajonshauptstadt Pravdinsk (Friedland) on a side road that Domnovo ( Domna9 ) with Znamenskoye (Prussian Wilten) and Jermakowo (German Wilten) connects. In the village, a side road branches off, which leads via Lesnoje and Gontscharowo (Groß Saalau) to Domnowo.
history
The formerly called Saussienen Gutsdorf belonged in 1874 to the municipalities that formed the district of Groß Saalau (Russian: Gontscharowo). It was in the Friedland district , from 1927 Bartenstein district (Ostpr.) In the Königsberg administrative district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .
In 1910 there were 115 inhabitants in the Saussienen manor. On September 30, 1928, the estate village with the Vorwerk Stockienen gave up its independence and merged with the estate district Preußisch Wilten (Russian: Snamenskoje) to form the new rural community Prussisch Wilten. The new community now belonged to the Groß Klitten district (Russian: Tscherjomuchowo).
In 1945 Saussienen came to the Soviet Union with Preußisch Wilten and northern East Prussia and in 1947 was given the name "Priwolnoje". Until 2009 the place was incorporated into the Domnowski soviet (Dorfsovjet Domnowo (Domnau) ) and since then has been classified as a "settlement" (Russian: possjolok) due to a structural and administrative reform within the Domnowskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Domnowo) in Pravdinsk Raion in Kaliningrad Oblast .

With its outweigh d Protestant population Saussienen belonged before 1945 to the parish Domnau (Russian: Domnovo) in the parish of Friedland (now Russian: Prawdinsk), from 1927 Kirchenkreis Bartenstein (today Polish: Bartoszyce) in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Prussian Union of churches .
Even today there is a church connection from Privolnoje to Domnowo, where the Protestant parish is a subsidiary of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) . It belongs to the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
