Tschistopolje ( Russian Чистополье , German Bothkeim ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg area (Prussia) ) and belongs to the Domnowskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Domnowo (Domnau) ) in Pravdinsk Rajon ( Friedland district (Eastern Prussia) ).

Geographical location

Tschistopolje is four kilometers southwest of Prawdinsk (Friedland) and can be reached via a strait that branches off the Prawdinsk – Schirokoje (Schönbruch) road (former German Reichsstrasse 142 ). A rail connection has not existed since the pre-1945 railway line from Königsberg (today in Russian: Kaliningrad) to Heilsberg (today in Polish: Lidzbark Warmiński) with the Preußisch Wilten (Russian: Snamenskoje) train station is out of service.

history

Gutsdorf, formerly known as Bothkeim , and its district Grünwalde (Russian: Antonowo) belonged to the Mertensdorf district (Russian: Tjomkino) between 1874 and 1928 . It belonged to 1927 the county Friedland , then to district Bartenstein (Ostpr.) In the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910, 108 inhabitants were registered in Bothkeim. It belonged to the church district of the same name , later to the church district Bartenstein (now Polish: Bartoszyce) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Even today there is a church connection from Tschistopolje to Pravdinsk, whose parish is now a subsidiary of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) . It belongs to the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
