Nankana Sahib District is an administrative district in Pakistan in the Punjab Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Nankana Sahib .
The district has an area of 2960 km² and, according to the 2017 census, has 1,356,374 inhabitants. The population density is 458 inhabitants / km². The Panjabi language is spoken by the majority in the district .

The district is located in the north of the Punjab Province, which is in the west of Pakistan.

The district was formed in 2005 from parts of Sheikhupura
Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017, the population grew by 1.38% annually. Around 18% of the population live in urban regions and around 82% in rural regions. 691,944 men, 664,359 women and 71 transgender people live in 215,934 households , resulting in a gender ratio of 104.2 men per 100 women, which is a common surplus for Pakistan.
