The Saale-Unstrut-Triasland Nature Park is located in the Burgenland district and in the Saale district in Saxony-Anhalt . Some neighboring Thuringian communities are also part of the nature park area. The coexistence of culture and nature is to be presented on an area of 103,737 ha.
The hilly region is characterized by the vineyards on Saale-Unstrut , orchards , a diverse flora and fauna as well as castles and palaces. The Saale and Unstrut with their floodplain landscapes are ideal for excursions and water hikes.
In 2013 the name was expanded to "Geo-Naturpark Saale-Unstrut-Triasland" in order to meet the special geological conditions in the area.
