Neudörfel is a district of the municipality of Pöhl in the Vogtlandkreis (Free State of Saxony ). It was incorporated into Jocketa on February 27, 1964 , which in turn merged on January 1, 1994 with the communities of Ruppertsgrün , Helmsgrün , Möschwitz and Herlasgrün to form the new community of Pöhl.

Neudörfel is located in the center of the natural area Vogtland ( Vogtland Switzerland ) in the Saxon part of the historical Vogtland . The southern corridor extends to the Pöhl dam , in which the shoot is dammed.

Farm in Neudörfel

The square village Neudörfel was first mentioned in 1412 as "Newendorff". However, the place was founded in the second half of the 12th century, whereupon the remains of an early German defense system, u. a. Point the tower hill, moat and outer wall in the corridor. Regarding the manorial Neudörfel was in the 16th century between the manors Liebau , Christgrün and Helmsgrün shared. In the 18th century, the manor was divided between the manors Liebau, Ruppertsgrün and Pöhl . With the introduction of regular postal connections, Neudörfel became important as a stop and crossing point towards the end of the 17th century , as the Alte Greizer Straße branched off in the village - halfway between Plauen and Reichenbach in Vogtland . The post house, which owes its existence to the Poststrasse passing by, is still there today as a restaurant and guesthouse.

Until 1856, Neudörfel was in the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Plauen . In 1856 the place was affiliated with the Plauen court office and in 1875 with the Plauen administration .

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the municipality of Neudörfel became part of Plauen-Land in the Chemnitz district (renamed Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon "Plauen district" from 1990 and was added to the Vogtland district in 1996 . After the completion of the Pöhl dam in 1964, a leisure center and a cottage settlement were built in the village . On February 27, 1964 Neudörfel was incorporated into Jocketa. The municipality of Jocketa with its districts Barthmühle, Trieb and Neudörfel merged with the municipalities of Helmsgrün, Herlasgrün, Ruppertsgrün and Möschwitz to form the new municipality of Pöhl as part of the municipal reform in the Free State of Saxony on January 1, 1994.
