Neuenhof is a district of the town of Attendorn in the Olpe district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) and has 407 inhabitants.

geography

Neuenhof is located northwest of the nuclear site in Attendorn Berndebach -Tal the ebb Mountains . The local mountain is the 458 m high Spitzberg. The Berndebachtal nature reserve is located southwest to Haus Ebbe . Plettenberger Straße (L 697) leads past to the east. Neighboring districts are Nuttmecke , Hebberg and Lichtringhausen .

history

The name Neuenhof probably originated in the second half of the 18th century when Kaspar Theodor Springob (1727–1795) from Drosten Gut in Hebberg married Elisabeth Aßmann (1735–1807) from Bittern Gut in Lichtringhausen in 1763 and this couple below Lichtringhausen built the "new courtyard".

The address book from 1929 in Neuenhof lists the names "Arens, Bender, Blecher (2 people), Bock (3), Bröcher (2), Büdenbender, Cramer (2), Kramer, Rauterkus, Reuter (2), Rüschenberg, Schulte ( 5), Springob and Tigges (3) “.

In 1936 there were 14 houses with 19 households and 103 residents in Neuenhof. In 1988 the place had 441 inhabitants.

At the entrance to the village there is the Landgasthof Springob (since 1887). Opposite it, on the western slope of the Heßberg, a ski lift was built in 1972 over a length of 250 m, but it is no longer in operation today.
