Nicole Ledermann

Nicole Ledermann or Nicki Ledermann (born January 8, 1968 in Munich ) is a German make- up artist who works mainly in the United States .

Life

Ledermann grew up in Germany and graduated from the Pestalozzi-Gymnasium in Munich with a focus on Latin and art. After studying for two years at the University of Music in Munich , she moved to New York in 1988 .

Ledermann is married to the American film and television director, film producer and screenwriter Alan Taylor . The marriage resulted in two daughters and a son.

Career

Ledermann received two Emmy nominations for her work on the TV show Sex and the City and received the Hollywood Makeup Guild Award in 2004 . In 2006, she received the Designing Women Award from New York Women in Film and Television for her achievements. For The Devil Wears Prada received Nicki 2007, a BAFTA nomination and in 2011 she won an Emmy Award for her make-up and design work on the pilot episode of the series Boardwalk Empire in the Martin Scorsese directed by. She also worked on the Coen brothers' film Inside Llewyn Davis ; She received three other Emmy nominations in 2015 and 2016 for two episodes of Steven Soderbergh's TV series The Knick and for one episode of vinyl .
