Nicolas Besch (born October 25, 1984 in Le Havre ) is a French ice hockey player who will play hockey sur glace at Bordeaux Gironde in the French Ligue Magnus from 2015 .
Career
Nicolas Besch began his career as a hockey player in the youth division of the Dragons de Rouen , for whose professional team he was active from 2001 to 2007 in the Ligue Magnus , the top French division. The defender was very successful with his team during this period. In 2003 and 2006 he was French champion with Rouen, in 2002, 2004 and 2005 he was with the team each time the Coupe de France , the national cup competition. He was also appointed to the league's all-star team in 2006 and 2007.
For the 2007/08 season , Besch went abroad for the first time and played for Leksands IF and Nyköpings HK in HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division, and for the Finnish second division Vaasan Sport in Mestis . He also spent the following season in the Mestis, but this time with Mikkelin Jukurit . After the Frenchman had played for the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble in the Ligue Magnus in the 2009/10 season and was called back to the All-Star team, he joined the Finnish second division club Mikkelin Jukurit again for the 2010/11 season on.
For the 2011/12 season , the long-time national player of KS Cracovia was signed from the Polish Ekstraliga , where he stayed for two years and was Polish champion in 2013 . After a short flying visit to KTH Krynica , he moved to KH Sanok in November 2013 , with which he not only became champion again in 2014, but also achieved the best plus / minus balance in the Polish league. A year later he also won the title with GKS Tychy , to which he had switched in the meantime, and was also a cup winner. International
For France , Besch took part in the junior division of the U18 World Cup in Division II in 2002 and the U20 World Cup in Division I in 2004 , when he was the top scorer among the defensive players. In the senior division, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2005 , 2006 and 2007 and in the Top Division in 2008 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 and 2015 . He also represented his colors in the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in Turin 2006 and Vancouver 2010 .
