The Niedere Burgstall is a 2436 m high mountain in the Stubai Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol .
Location and surroundings
The Niedere Burgstall is located in the Kalkkögeln in the Stubai Valley , southwest of Innsbruck . The neighboring summit in the southwest is the 2611 m high Hohe Burgstall . From the summit there is a view of the Stubai Valley, all the way to the Zuckerhütl (3507 m), the Oberbergtal , the Serleskamm and the Inn Valley .
Climbs
A marked path leads from the Schlick to the Sennjoch , then over the Burgstalljoch to the summit (1½ hours). In winter the Niedere, together with the Hohen Burgstall, is a popular destination for ski tourers.
Paths lead from the summit to the Starkenburger Hut , the Schlicker Alm , the Hohen Burgstall and over the Schlicker Scharte to the Franz-Senn-Hut or the Adolf-Pichler-Hut .
