action

Imprisoned Sandra is only allowed to be visited by her little daughter once a month and collapses when the intercom in the visitors' room goes on strike.

Heavily pregnant Diana meets her old love Damian in the supermarket. Both are now married.

Holly returns to her childhood home to confront her stepfather, who once sexually abused her. She meets her younger sister.

Sonia struggles with her husband Martin's emotional distance, who then exposes her in front of her friends Lisa and Damian.

Samantha mediates between her parents Ruth and Larry, who no longer speak to each other.

Lorna meets her ex-husband Andrew at his wife's funeral. Some guests blame Lorna for her suicide, because Andrew still clearly loves her.

Ruth plans an affair with the drunken widower Henry. A phone call from her daughter makes her feel guilty.

Camille is about to undergo breast cancer surgery and uses her waiting time to harshly criticize her husband Richard.

Maggie is having a picnic with her daughter Maria - in a cemetery.

Some stories are linked. Holly meets up as a nurse in the story "Camille". Sandra's guardian also appears as Holly's father. The story "Ruth" shows the arrest of Sandra, whereupon Henry philosophizes with Ruth about illusions. In the following story “Maggie”, her daughter Maria turns out to be such an illusion. The child had previously been very happy about grapes, which were apparently her favorite fruit. At the end of the scene Maggie - suddenly alone - lays the grapes on a grave.
