North Troy is a village in the town of Troy in Orleans County in the state of Vermont in the United States with 620 inhabitants (according to the 2010 census). North Troy is located in the north in the Town Troy on which it is politically and administratively dependent, on the border with Canada . The Missisquoi River flows through the village in a northerly direction.

history

There were two grants for the Town Troy area. On October 13, 1792, John Kelley received the grant for the southern area and Samuel Avery for the northern area. Settlement began in 1800, in 1801 the grants were amalgamated and on March 30, 1802 the town's constituent assembly took place. At that time under the name Missisquoi . In 1803 the name was changed to Troy .

The Newport – Farnham railway has a stop in North Troy. The Vermont State Route 105 leads from west to east through the Village and its branches in the north, the Vermont State Route 243 from which a border post to High Water in Quebec leads.
