Oberried is a district of the Upper Swabian market Ottobeuren .

The Oberried wasteland is located on a hill about six kilometers southeast of Ottobeuren. It is connected to the main town via Vogelsang .

history

As early as 1417, the Buxheim monastery in Oberried was wealthy. From 1520 the monastery had gained the land and body rule. This could be achieved by exchanging the serfs of the knight Adam von Stein and monastery subjects in Frechenrieden . In 1564, 20 people lived in Oberried.
