Ohlenbostel is a hamlet in the municipality of Wedemark , which belongs to the district of Brelingen in the Hanover region.

geography

The hamlet is located in the center of Wedemark, halfway between the villages of Resse and Brelingen. The hamlet of Schadehop, which also belongs to Brelingen, is about one and a half kilometers to the east .

history

As early as 990, the place Olenburstalda was mentioned together with Brelingen . This name could be traced back to Altenbauernstelle , which makes it clear that it was originally a farm belonging to the von Alten noble family .
