Gailhof coat of arms
Blazon : "In green over a silver cross river with a growing, half , golden mill wheel, three silver oak leaves with two golden acorns each, a lying, silver wolf's tang under the river."
Explanation of the coat of arms: The three oak leaves symbolize the extremely rich stock of oaks, which once and also today essentially determines the image of the village. The poppy seed mill, which has been part of Gailhof for centuries, is symbolized by the water wheel. It was laid out in 1474 by Duke Friedrich zu Braunschweig-Lüneburg and ground the grain of the farmers in Gailhof and the surrounding villages until it was closed in 1920. The band below shows the heather river Wietze , and the wolf angel underscores the affiliation to the Burgdorf district .
