Coat of arms of Oegenbostel
Blazon : “A green hill in silver , covered with a silver shield , inside a red wolf iron (anchor shape) , accompanied on both sides by a six-pointed, red star ; three (1: 2) green linden leaves above the hill. "
Justification of the coat of arms: The coat of arms below shows the Brelinger Berg, which is mostly in the Oegenbostel district . The coat of arms in its center is taken from the coat of arms of those of Bestebostel . The district bailiff Cord von Bestebostel and his wife Catharina von Weyhe had the first school built in Wedemark in 1603 , namely in Bissendorf . The school stone created by the stonemason Nottelman with the portrait of this noble family is well known. The three linden leaves point to the district of Ibsingen and symbolize the lime tree standing there, about which it is said that in the years around 1812 a tailor from Brelingen was hiding in the hollow trunk , who did not want to fall into the hands of French advertisers.
