Schlage-Ickhorst is a village in the municipality of Wedemark , which belongs to Scherenbostel in the Hanover region.

Schlage-Ickhorst is two kilometers south of Scherenbostel and just as far southwest of Bissendorf , and one and a half kilometers north of the hamlet Kiebitzkrug, which belongs to Kaltenweide .

history

The place consists of the settlement Ickhorst and the hamlet of Schlage, which are directly adjacent to each other. The border between the Landdrosteien Hanover and Lüneburg and previously between the principalities of Calenberg and Lüneburg ran through Schlage-Ickhorst . Therefore the place was a customs post until 1833, whereby the customs house was demolished in 1966. The place name comes on the one hand from the turnpike , which represented the customs station, and on the other hand from the word Eich horst .
